“We did it, Joe.” The solar eclipse in Libra on October 14, and the lunar eclipse in Taurus on October 28, challenged decision making, pattern-breaking, and took mental capacity to the woodchipper. Astrology tells us eclipses can bring hidden emotions to the surface. Science tells us they cause ionospheric anomalies on Earth, which affect radio wave communication, and amplify the magnetic field. So, like, the atmosphere had a nervous breakdown but also an emotional breakthrough and you were in the vortex.
To honor both the chaos and enlightenment of eclipse season, we created a playlist to reflect the rapid changes in a dysregulated* emotional state. The songs move between dreamy, metaphysical worlds, everyday monotony, romantic entanglements, self-loathing and loneliness, existential dread, unabashed confidence, and ultimately, a connection to your higher self. Oh, and numerology. There’s numerology.
Hopefully, eclipse season illuminated what needed to “give” and left those who seek it with a fresh start. Fresh is relative, of course. Stagnation is a part of life. The important part is realizing moving on also means moving through. Submitted for the approval of the Vanguard audience, I call this playlist: “Eclipse Season Has Emotionally Dysregulated Us All.” Check it out on Spotify and Youtube.
